Some of our wonderful youth music ensembles are looking for new members! Would you like to join a group of young people making and performing music?

Acorn Strings is our initial string group for violin, viola, cello and double bass.

They are open to new members!

Rehearsals: Monday 4.30 –5.15pm at Cantell School, Violet Road, Southampton, SO16 3GJ

Termly membership fee: £70

Groove Syndicate is our initial youth Rock & Pop Band!

They are looking for a Bass Guitar player to join them, at grade 3 standard & above.

Rehearsals: Every Wednesday 4.45 -5 .45pm during term time at Cantell School.

Studio Band is our grade 6+ Jazz Group!

They are looking for the following new members:

• Trombone Player

• Drum Kit Player (grade 6 & above)

Rehearsals: Fortnightly Saturdays at 9.45 - 11.45am at Taunton College.

Intermediate wind band Pulse8 and the Jazz group, Studio Band, joined forces for an end of term performance on Monday 9 December. 

The audience was treated to playing of a very high standard from both groups with some original arrangements through to Christmas favourites.

Studio Band (fka Jazz Workshop) is a 10 piece Jazz Band playing a selection of modern & classic jazz tunes!

They will be joined by special guests from Southampton University: Nomad

🎺 Southampton Youth Brass Band: Southampton Youth Brass Band at St Cross Fete — Southampton and IOW Music

Saturday 28 June, 1:30 pm 5:00 pm

The Hospital of St Cross, Saint Cross Back Street, Winchester, England, SO23.

SYBB will be performing 3 sets between 1.30-5pm.

Funds raised are for the church at St Cross, Winchester Bereavement Group, Winchester Young Carers and Winchester Hospice.

Southampton Music Services present their annual Wind Band Pyramid concert on Saturday 1 March!

Pulse8 (Charlotte Mann)

Airplay (Anna Robinson)

and Studio Band.

This will be an evening celebrating the fabulous young talented wind, brass and percussion musicians within Southampton. The bands will again be joined by Studio Band, who will bring their jazz flavour to the evenings concert!
