Join us at Southampton Guildhall for our annual schools Christmas event! Jo Downs is writing a new Christmas songbook exploring Christmas celebrations through history with 3 original songs for KS1 and three original songs for KS2 spanning a variety of styles and genres. Schools will be invited to provide narrators to enhance our performance this year. Secondary schools will also be invited to perform in 4 guest spots as we take our journey through time. We will also be joined by Southampton Youth Brass Band for the concert, performing some seasonal classics.

Primary schools will be offered a free workshop from the hub in school (for children and teachers) and online CPD to introduce the songbook and digital resources to support you in advance of the concert. Resources will be ready by the beginning of October with an online introductory meeting on Thursday 8th October 4pm - 5pm via Teams. Timings on the day are still tbc but we will finalise these with your input prior to their publication.

If you are unable to join us for the event then the songbook and the digital resources along with signing & lyrics videos will also be available to all through the songbank on our website as always. As this project is extremely popular, spaces will be limited per setting depending on sign up numbers which we will confirm in September.
